Outreach provides support services to educators and community members to foster a better understanding of South Asia. We facilitate the inclusion of South Asian Studies into community and classroom dialogue through our resource collection which includes faculty, students, and our multi-media resource library. Materials from our resource library are loaned free of charge to users nationwide. South Asia-centered seminars and workshops are offered throughout the year.

Because we are designated as a Department of Education National Resource Center for South Asia, our resource holdings and programs focus on that region of Asia. For collections on China, Japan, Korea, and other East Asian countries, contact the Center for East Asian Studies.

The University of Texas at Austin is home to four National Resource Centers. You can link directly to the other Centers' sites through the International Network Information Center and Hemispheres.
