Plato's logos ("definition," "characterization," "philosophic account") of knowledge:

A person S knows a proposition p if and only if:

1. S believes p (and)

2. p is true (and)

3. S is justified in believing p .

Socratic intellectualism: one is justified in believing a claim about X only if one can give a logos (or definition, etc.) of X.
